Mission Statement
The Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center Inc. advances the important roles that art and education play in everyday lives.  We support and give voice to artistic and educational expressions which advance community development, cultural diversity, global awareness, responsibility and social equity, as well as the empowerment of the Latina and Latino identities.

The Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center was established in 1986 as a tribute to Sofia Quintero. Sofia Quintero was the first person of Latino descent to be elected into a public office in Toledo. As a member of the school board, Sofia Quintero was an active advocate of making the Latino community a voice to be heard in Toledo. As a non-profit organization, the Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center has created partnerships with the YMCA/JCC of Greater Toledo as well as the Toledo Museum of Art. Organizations from the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State Univeristy use the center as a venue for countless events. There are numerous supporters of the center, including Marcy Kaptur, Congresswoman representing Ohio. Through grants and donations, the center continues to help underprivileged families in Toledo. The center promises to never leave the Broadway Street building to reserve the connection to the heart of the Latino community. Bring the entire family to explore the Latino culture and amenities we have to offer. ¡Nuestra casa es su casa!
